I like to think of myself as easy-going / laid-back ,with a sense of mischief and growing old disgracefully.

When I look back, I think my interest in bondage stems back to greatly enjoying prisoner and tying up games played as a child. It only really re-emerged many years later with improvised bondage in the bedroom using ties, belts and so on.
Around 7 years ago an article on Shibari caught my imagination. It not only took the idea of bondage to a deeper psychological level, it was also stunningly creative and beautiful. I then began to devour every scrap of information I could find. There is a lot of inspiration and information on the net. I attended a workshop by Midori, an internationally acclaimed bondage artist, and studied her book 'The Seductive Art of Japanese Bondage'.
Watching and learning from others is always the best. Kazayu <http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mistresskazayu>, a Japanese rope artist of 10 years experience, who is doing beautiful work around the London clubs, was my initial inspiration. Other influences include Drachenmann, EVie, Jon Blake, Osada Steve, Elly the Nomad, Zamil and many other talented artistes I have had the honour of watching.

An impassive face and sunglasses seem to be the trademark of male nawashi in Japan, but this is not the case in the UK. There is no standard uniform here, although some shows do have a Japanese theme.
Also, I think more emotion seems to be shown by the riggers. As Dahlia said to me after a lively session at Nuit Elastique with Clochette, "You really had fun, didn't you?". My answer "Well, if you are not having fun, what's the point?"
